This listing is for a lovely Mt. Washington opal Art Glass cracker jar or biscuit barrel with an unusual egg shape with Water Lily decoration.
The silver plated collar and rim have original patina and are firmly attached to the body and the hinged handle works smoothly. The lid is marked with the Pairpoint trademark stamp P" inside a diamond with numbers "3951". The base is marked in red enameling "3951, 879". The body of the cracker jar is made of opaque opal glass which Mt Washington is known for. It is beautifully decorated with white water lilies on a gorgeous green background
Measures 6" high (to top of lid) and 10" high (to the top of the handle) with the body being 5 1/2" wide.
The body of the cracker jar is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and the silver plate lid is also in very good condition with minor tarnish as expected.
