Orchard Dinnerware Cherry Pattern Service for 12

Description

Orchard Dinnerware Company "Cherry" Pattern service for 12 with two extra pieces, and serving pieces, total of 109 pieces in all, not including lids for certain items as indicated below. I would characterize this as a breakfast or luncheon set.  Condition is used, but every piece is flawless.  This is very charming, hand painted china, from a California company that was in business, as near as I can determine, from the forties to the fifties.  Many small specialty manufacturers like Orchard flourished in the early post-WWII era as there were many skilled women who did war work and wanted to find employment when those jobs ended, and returning GIs were buying houses and furnishing them so lots of household items were in high demand.
