Content & History:
The Army-Navy "E" Award was an American honor presented to companies during the Second World War whose production facilities achieved "Excellence in Production". Only five percent of all U.S. companies received the award.
Fairchild Aircraft (1924-2003) was a major Aerospace manufacturer during the 20th century. The company was founded by Sherman Fairchild and had factories in Farmingdale, New York; Hagerstown, Maryland; and San Antonio, Texas. The company is best known for the Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar and the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
The document text and airplane illustrations are blurry. I am not sure if this was a printing error or was made this way to look 3-D.
Also note the document is made to look like parchment with folds which are part of the graphics and not real folds. See condition below for more.
Condition:
The document has one edge tear (5/8 inches), edge wear/bumping, numerous small light creases (more noticeable near the edges), soiling/discoloration. See pictures.
