Missing Syracuse man found safe 40 miles away, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A missing Syracuse man was found safe 40 miles away from Syracuse, police said.
Charles Santoro was reported missing after leaving Upstate Community Hospital around 4 p.m. Thursday, Syracuse police said.
He was found in Waterville by law enforcement around 6 a.m. on Friday, said Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police.
Waterville is about 40 minutes or an hour from Syracuse.
Santoro was safe and in good health, he said.
